Our Gourmet range of Planifolia Vanilla Pods (Vanilla Beans) from South India is approximately 15-17 cm in length. These vanilla pods are supple, moist, plump and have a distinctly black colour without blemishes.

Indian vanilla pods are part of the planifolia vanilla family (similar to Madagascan, Mexica or Ugandan Vanilla) and are characterised by a deep woody flavour with chocolate overtones. The pods tend to be thick and  full of seeds.
